Accountant II - Cost

About the Team: At ZF Gainesville, LLC, you'll join a dynamic and collaborative finance team dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement. The team consists of a seasoned Controller and three skilled Financial Analysts/Accountants who work closely together to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Together, they support key functions such as profit and loss analysis, balance sheet accuracy, cost accounting, and fixed asset management. This new Cost Accountant role will play a vital part in maintaining compliance with corporate financial principles and evaluating investment feasibility, contributing directly to the plant’s financial success.

What you can look forward to as a Cost Accountant: 

• Update & maintain fixed asset information to include projects.
• Assist in preparation of Asset Investment Justifications including IRR (Internal Rate of Return) & ROI (Return on Investment).
• Responsible for periodic provisions and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and month-end closings.
• Review and reconcile inventory accounts, conducting regular physical inventories and audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards and regulations.
• Develop & maintain standard costs, including BOM and process cost.
• Assist vendor scrap analysis & reports - process required transactions.

Your profile as a Cost Accountant:

• BA or BS in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of cost accounting or controlling experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and SAP.
• English language competency required.
