Job Description

Job Summary: Provide outstanding customer service to patients and develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and other external customers.
Major Job Functions:
Document eligibility, benefit and authorization information in accordance with established guidelines.
Verify prior-authorizations prior to services being performed.
Ability to multitask and remain focused while managing a high-volume, time-sensitive workload
Excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively
Specifications:
Education: Minimum of high school diploma with scheduling experience preferred
Experience: Minimum of 1 year customer service or equivalent
Certification/License/Registration: None
Position Titles and Number Supervised: None
Special Training/Skills: Must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess excellent phone etiquette. Must possess the ability to work alone. Must be discrete with all confidential information.
Physical Demands: Ability to move about freely. Must possess sufficient visual and auditory acuity to perform task associated with the position.
Working Conditions: Works in a medical facility. Sits, stands and walks intermittently throughout the day. Must stoop and bend in the course of the job performance.
Other (Operational Excellence): Employee must be aware of and fully support all practice policies and procedures. Must have demonstrated ability to deliver services to physicians and administration in a responsive and courteous manner.
